Xbox One’s promotional price will come to an end on January 3

In lieu of holiday season sales, Microsoft had lowered the price of its Xbox One console down by $50, but this promotional offer is all set to come to an end now. January 3 is when the system will again begin selling at its normal asking amount of $400 instead of $350. That being the cost of its Kinect-less model, the bundle consisting of the said accessory will have its retail value go up to $500 from $450. Similarly, various discounted bundles will also be sold at their usual rates from January 3 onwards.

The end of the year has been quite a pleasing one for the company as its console has managed to catch up with the PS4 in terms of sales. Microsoft reported that the Xbox One was the best-selling console in both the UK as well as the US during the month of November. Although in terms of overall sales, the PS4 still remains king, its competitor has finally managed to begin an upward journey after many policy changes and big decisions.
