Age Of Empires Mobile Unveiled, Coming This August

Age of Empires Mobile

Microsoft had teased Age of Empires Mobile way back in 2022 but only now has the game been fully revealed with a trailer. It will be released for Android and iOS and while a solid release date hasn’t been disclosed, its App Store page mentions that it’s expected on August 19.

Age of Empire Mobile will feature familiar elements of classic games and also come with new mobile-specific gameplay. World’s Edge, which has been overseeing the franchise lately, has revealed that the development will be handled by TiMi Studio Group, which falls under the Tencent Group.

The latest main entry to the series came in the form of Age of Empires IV, which was released for PC in 2021 and Xbox consoles in 2023. Developed by World’s Edge, it received positive reviews from fans and critics alike.

The eras covered in Age of Empires IV were between the Early Middle Ages and the early Renaissance. The game features 16 civilizations including the Abbasid Dynasty, the Ottomans, the Delhi Sultanate, the Holy Roman Empire, and even the Mongols.

Coming back to Age of Empires Mobile, as we said, the Apple App Store mentions August 19 to be its release date, which its makers haven’t confirmed yet. It will be playable on both iOS and Android devices upon its arrival.
