10 Most Anticipated Games Coming This September

With the first half of 2017 now behind us, let’s look at some of the most anticipated online games of 2017 expected to launch this September. The upcoming month will witness the release of quite a lot of major titles which include Destiny 2, Fallout 4: Game Of The Year Edition, FIFA 18 and Divinity: Original Sin 2. Destiny 2

Destiny 2, a sequel to the 2014 title, follows a similar gameplay style of its predecessor which comes with experience-based character progression, first-person shooting, and quest-centered storyline.

However, Destiny had a few flaws including the faulty drop system and vague storyline. But with Destiny 2, Bungie has been working extremely hard to get these flaws sorted out. As a result, with what we have seen in the released trailers for the upcoming title, it seems that the developers have been quite successful in doing just that.

Destiny 2 is set to release on September 6 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. However this time the game is also set to make its debut in the world of PC gaming. PC users will get to experience Destiny 2 a little later, though, as the PC version will be available on October 24.

Divinity: Original Sin 2

Larian Studios is back with the new installment of its Divinity franchise. Divinity: Original Sin 2, takes place years after the first Divinity, where conflict and religious oppression has plagued the world. Players (solo or in teams of four) will have to try to rid the world of the menace that threatens the Divinity universe.

Furthermore, Larian Studios is also adding a new feature called the Love & Hate system. This system will let players build relationships with other characters which can be either positive or negative, which will then affect the game’s storyline.

D:OS 2 is set to release for PC on September 14, while PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users will have to wait a little longer.

Fallout 4 Game of the Year Edition

One of the most popular and successful games of 2015, Fallout 4, is set to receive its Game Of The Year Edition after two years of its initial release. The upcoming edition is set to come with all of the game’s updates, equipped with a few graphical enhancements, mod support, and the addition of the brand new Survival Mode.

Moreover, since this is the Game of the Year Edition, Bethesda will include all six of the game’s DLC content which has made its way into the game over the course of two years. Consequently, Fallout 4: Game Of The Year Edition will include Nuka-World, Vault-Tec Workshop, Contraptions Workshop, Far Harbor, Wasteland Workshop and Automatron.

Fallout 4: Game Of The Year Edition will be released on September 26 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Total War: Warhammer II

Last year, when SEGA released Total War: Warhammer, the world of PC gaming was drowning with excitement, as it combined the best of two ginormous franchises. And the game became the fastest-selling Total War game of all-time. Now, the developer Creative Assembly is all ready to release the game’s sequel, Total War: Warhammer II, next month.

Total War: Warhammer II will feature a total of four factions which include Lizardmen, High Elves, Dark Elves and Skaven. Though, from what we have seen with the previous title, more factions will be added with future DLCs.

Total War: Warhammer II will be available on September 28 for PC.

Forza Motorsport 7

The one racing game every PlayStation 4 user dreams of playing, Microsoft Studios’ Forza Motorsport 7 is expected to reach the shelves by the end of September 2017.

According to the developers, the game will feature a range of over 700 exotic cars, along with 30 unique locations which come with 200 different configurations. And that’s not all. This time, Microsoft Studios is set to bring in a couple of brand new features, including customizable and dynamic weather. Moreover, according to Turn 10 who are working on the game’s development, Forza Motorsport 7 will run at a 4K resolution running at a constant 60 frames per second.

Forza Motorsport 7 is slated to make its debut for the Xbox One on September 28. Meanwhile, PC players will have to wait until October 3, to get their hands on this incredible racing title.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinity is the sixth installment in Capcom’s Marvel vs. Capcom franchise. The game will feature similar fight modes as the older version, including two-on-two battles and the dual-character combo system.

However, since Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War is just around the corner, Capcom is set to introduce a brand new gameplay mechanics involving the six Infinity Stones. These stones will grant the player unique abilities and upgrades, depending on the type of stone the player has equipped.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is ready for a worldwide release on September 19.

Dishonored: Death of the Outsider

From the award-winning creators at Arkane Studios comes the next standalone production, Dishonored: Death of the Outsider. In this upcoming title, players take on the role of Billie Lurk, a retired mercenary for hire, who embarks on a quest to eliminate a god-like entity by the name of Outsider.

Like previous Dishonored titles, the latest version of the game will also follow the franchise’s iconic gameplay features, including the stealth and combat systems. Dishonored: Death of the Outsider is slated to reach the shelves on September 15.

FIFA 18

Good news for all FIFA fans! The latest installment in the most popular sports game franchise of all time, FIFA 18 is set to release this September.

FIFA 18 will continue with the Frostbite 3 engine which debuted in the previous title, FIFA 17. However, based on what we have seen in the game’s trailers, it seems to be a lot more refined. As a result, FIFA fans can expect the upcoming game to feature a much more realistic feel which comes with improved player movements and enhanced control mechanics. And there’s more. EA Sports has announced that FIFA 18 will continue the “The Journey” story mode, which will feature Alex Hunter’s comeback.

FIFA 18 is expected to release for the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on September 29.

NBA 2K18

FIFA isn’t the only major sports game that is slated to release in September. 2K Sports is also set to release the next title for its NBA 2K franchise in the same month. If you have been waiting for the next big basketball video game, then NBA 2K18 is the one for you.

NBA 2K18 will keep the franchise’s iconic features and game modes which include MyCareer, MyGM, and MyLeague. Furthermore, 2K Sports is bringing back one of the franchise’s most recent game modes, MyTeam. This game mode allows players to collect virtual player cards, from which they can build their basketball dream team.

NBA 2K18 is set to launch on September 19, for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and the PC.

 Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire

The already massive world of Guild Wars 2 is set to expand even further, as ArenaNet will launch the game’s next expansion pack this September. Yes! You read that right. After two whole years, the game will receive its second expansion titled Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire.

The upcoming title will bring some significant changes to Guild War 2. However that is not what makes this expansion the most anticipated one yet. ArenaNet is finally adding Mounts and Elite Specializations to the list of in-game features. But that’s still not all. According to the developers, the expansion will include additional rewards, bounties, and a guild hall which will allow players to claim houses.

Guild Wars 2: Path Of Fire is set to make its way into the PC world on September 22.
