Spider-Man 2 Set To Get New Game Plus Mode Next Month

Marvel's Spider-Man 2

Those who have completed Spider-Man 2 and are awaiting its New Game Plus mode to jump back into it again are in for some good news. Developer Insomniac Games has announced that it will get this much-awaited feature via the game’s next update that’s scheduled to land on March 7.

The New Game Plus mode will enable gamers to replay the story of Peter Parker and Miles Morales while having all their upgrades and unlocks available to them from the start. The update that will add this mode is also supposed to bring new suits to Spider-Man 2 along with a few other things.

Even before the launch of the game, Insomniac Games had conveyed to fans that it would indeed get a New Game Plus mode. At that time, it was supposed to arrive before the end of 2023 but that didn’t work out for unspecified reasons.

However, now that March 7 has been marked as the release date of this new mode for Spider-Man 2, fans can finally look forward to getting back into the game’s action once again. That is, of course, if they have stopped playing it in the first place.

Spider-Man 2 was released to immense player and critical acclaim on October 20, 2023. It builds on the gameplay of its predecessors but focuses on dual playstyles, as both Peter Parker and Miles Morales are available as playable characters.

Apart from expanding on their traversal and combat abilities, it also introduces Spider-Man’s symbiote suit, granting Peter some really unique abilities during combat.

Spider-Man 2’s massive scope also means that it could not be released for the PS4. Those who wish to indulge in the game will need to do so on a PS5 console.
