GTA 6 Trailer Out Now, Here’s Everything You Need To Know About It

GTA 6

In celebration of 25 years of its existence, Rockstar Games has given us our first glimpse of GTA 6 in the form of a short trailer. The company has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI, as it’s officially known, will be released in 2025 only for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

The GTA 6 trailer confirms that the game will be set in Vice City, Rockstar’s fictional version of Miami, which was also the setting of its 2002 offering GTA Vice City. It has also been confirmed that this city will be part of the state of Leonida, a fictional take on Florida.

While GTA Vice City was set in the 1980s, this one will take place in the modern day, as the TikTok-like videos in the trailer clearly indicate. Massive environments are showcased by the trailer but it has stopped short of showing any actual gameplay.

It’s also clear that GTA 6 will feature two playable characters, with one of them being the series’ first female protagonist. Named Lucia, she will be teaming up with a male protagonist who remains unnamed at the moment.

Earlier this year, Rockstar was hit with a massive leak that gave away crucial details of the game. Even this particular trailer of the game had leaked online and it eventually forced Rockstar to release it beforehand.

The trailer of GTA 6 has come more than a decade after the launch of GTA 5, which is still regularly being updated to continue the GTA Online experience. That game had taken almost two years to arrive on PC so we wonder if the same will apply to its sequel as well.

We’ll keep bringing more anything and everything that’s revealed about GTA 6 in the time to come, so stay tuned.
