Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition Dated, Coming Through Arcade Next Program

As part of the Arcade Next promotion from Microsoft, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition will be released on May 9, 2012. Under this program, some of Spring’s much awaited Xbox Live Arcade games will be launched from April 18 till May 9. It has also been revealed that since April, all XBLA titles will feature a maximum of 400 Gamerscore, with up to 30 Achievements available to unlock.

On April 18, Trials Evolution will be outed as the first game in the Arcade Next program. A successor to 2009’s Trials HD, this game is said to contain hordes of outdoor environments as well as curved driving lines. Moreover, online multiplayer and an in-game editor to customize tracks, bikes, riders and gear would also be included withing Trials Evolution.

Bloodforge is the second title in this list and is scheduled to launch on April 25. It is claimed to contain a brutal combat system, stunning art style and a compelling story. It involves players slaying demonic soldiers, deformed worshippers as well as gods, using powers like Rage Kills, Rune attacks and furious weapon combos.

Fable Heroes will go live on May 2, rendering an action-packed hack-and-slash adventure. Online and offline co-op also form part of the title. And furthermore, the gold that players collect in this game will be importable into the forthcoming Kinect offering named Fable: The Journey.

Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition is the last title from Arcade Next, and is slated to launch on May 9. This global phenomenon of sorts makes its debut on consoles as an XBLA game. Fresh features include a new crafting interface, natural controller movements, a full Tutorial mode and online split-screen multiplayer.

Trials Evolution and Bloodforge will sell at 1200 Microsoft Points each, while Fable Heroes and Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition will be priced at 800 Microsoft Points and 1600 Microsoft Points, respectively.
