At next month’s MineCon fan event in Las Vegas, developer Mojang will be revealing an Xbox 360 version of the extremely popular game Minecraft. “The infinite possibilities in Minecraft just got bigger, and we are very happy with the development of Minecraft for Xbox 360. We want to keep the core experience of the original PC version intact, while ensuring the game fits its new platform. We’re thrilled MineCon attendees will be the first to experience it – months ahead of its planned release date,” explained, Mojang lead designer, Markus ‘Notch’ Persson.

It has also been confirmed that the Xbox 360 version of Minecraft will feature Kinect support when it launches next year. Originally released for Java devices, this sandbox building game written by Persson himself, was later spawned for iOS and Android devices. The title centers on creativity and building, thus allowing players to build constructions out of textured cubes in a 3D world.

Minecraft will be released for the Xbox 360 in spring 2012, whereas it will be showcased this year at the MineCon which is to take place on November 18 and November 19 in Las Vegas.
