World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Beta Now Live

Annual Pass holders, press, fansites, friends and family as well as opt-in beta testers, will be the ones who’ll get to have a first taste of World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria beta which went live recently. The initial phase of this beta is particularly aimed by Blizzard on the 1 – 10 starting experience for new Pandaren race.

It has also been revealed on the Battle.net blog that high-level content and template characters will be made available through future beta updates. However, gamers who wish to test the new talent system will be able to copy over their own high level characters now. And this test doesn’t have any NDA (non-disclosure agreement), which means that hordes of screenshots and videos will soon be making their way to the web.

“Players selected to participate in the beta test will receive an email invitation directing them to download the beta client directly from their Battle.net account. As always, please be aware of phishing attempts — if you’re unsure whether your invitation is legitimate, please log in to your Battle.net account to verify that there is a Mists of Pandaria beta license attached,” read a post on the blog.

Gamers have also been reminded by Blizzard that the upcoming expansion for WoW is still under development, and changes will be made to the final offering, as the beta evolves. Hence, the experience of the beta test is not necessarily representative of the actual game.

While the World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria beta is out now, the expansion has also gone up for pre-order through retailers at a price of 39.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,050).
