Foosball 2012 Headed for PS3 and PS Vita

A new title based on the popular table-top sport has been announced by Grip Games in the form of Foosball 2012. Slated to be made available for the PS3 and PS Vita this spring, the offering will come equipped with PS Move support as well as cross-platform functionalities.

Developer Grip Games is known for creating titles like The Impossible Game, MiniSquadron and One Epic Game, and this new entrant to the list is the first foosball game ever developed for the PS3 and PS Vita. Apart from PS Move and DualShock 3 compatibilities, the title also delivers connective play between both consoles, thus proffering both cross play and game continuation features.

Jakub Mikyska, CEO of Grip Games, commented, “Not only are we excited to announce the first foosball game for the PS3 and PS Vita, but we are thrilled to launch the game for both devices with fun and competitive cross-compatibility features. Players will now have a multitude of options to get their foosball fix anywhere, anytime and on either PlayStation device.”

Apart from a single-player mode, it also comprises various multiplayer modes as well as a Quick Match trait for up to four gamers to play simultaneously in a local match. Furthermore, this game also qualifies as a one price cross-play offering, which means that if players buy it for the PS3 they’ll be able to indulge in it on both platforms at no extra charge.

Foosball 2012 will be released through the PS Store in North and South America, Europe and other territories this spring. Its pricing information is yet to be specified by Grip Games.
