Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 receives 7.8GB patch which might fix its woes

We can’t expect a game as broken as Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 to be fixed completely by a 7.8GB patch, but it could at least make it playable for those who have bought it. The newest entry to the classic skateboarding series has received its long due update which can be downloaded now by those who own the game.

The freshly arrived 7.8GB patch for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 applies only to the PS4 version, but we’re sure the Xbox One variant will be getting it soon as well. As you might know, following the disastrous launch of this title, its PS3 and Xbox 360 versions which were supposed to be released later on, were cancelled indefinitely. A PC version thankfully does not exist.

As pointed out by GameSpot, the patch notes never even once mention the words ‘bugs’ or ‘fixes,’ giving us an example about Activision’s attitude towards this offering. They have however gone on to convey they have adjusted the ‘gameplay mechanics,’ while also having improved the textures of the game’s characters.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5

Developed jointly by Robomodo and Disruptive Games, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 is the tenth main game from the extremely popular series and even first main entry to the series since 2007’s Proving Ground. It features single-player as well as multiplayer gameplay. Upon its launch, the game was found to be extremely glitchy and unplayable, forcing Activision to issue a public apology.
