Activision admits Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 is a mess, promises fixes and free content

The predictions made by many after watching the trailers for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 have indeed come true. The game is an unfinished piece of software that’s suffering from a myriad of connection problems, performance issues and tons of bugs as well.

As if it was prepared for the damage control all along, Activision has quickly issued a statement saying that it is working with the game’s developer Robomodo in order to address the issues being faced by those who have bought the game. Not only is Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 facing fan outrage for its bugs and performance issues, but it is unsurprisingly getting extremely unfavorable reviews from publications.

Activision has also announced that it will be offering some free content as part of its seemingly preplanned apology. Two fresh stages will be released by it for the game, apart from five bonus skaters. It should be noted that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 comes with just eight stages in it, and asks for a full price of 59.99 USD (approx. Rs 3900).

This game was released in North America on September 29, while its launch in the UK happened yesterday. It can be purchased – although we doubt anyone would want to purchase it now – for the PS4 and the Xbox One. However, copies for the PS3 and the Xbox 360 are on their way as well, on November 10. There’s no news of a PC version yet.
