Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 has a day one patch that’s larger than the full game

It’s finally release day for the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5, but fans who will be buying its physical as well as digital copies will need to do a bit more waiting unfortunately. That’s because this game has been blessed with a day one patch that’s sized at more than the full game itself.

We wonder what developer Robomodo will actually be adding through this title update. It’ll also be interesting to know how Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 plays if someone decides not to download its day one patch.

This game will be made available today in North America, while its release in Europe will take place this Friday. GameCabin is reporting that a 7.7GB patch is awaiting players who will be purchasing it. The site also mentions that the game installs at just 4.6GB.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 has already been marred by controversy since early screenshots of the game have exposed poor graphics within it. Activision tried to make things up later by releasing better screenshots, but the visuals still seem to look dated.

It hence remains to be seen how Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 actually perform once it’s out into the open. It is being released only for the PS4 and the Xbox One right now, while copies for the old-gen PS3 and the Xbox 360 will start being outed from November 10 onwards. There’s no mention of a PC version still, however.
