Rocket League receives free Portal DLC

Psyonix, the makers of vehicle football game Rocket League have announced a tie-up with Valve under which the title will be getting free content designed around the latter’s Portal franchise. This applies only to the PC version of the game because it’s sold through Steam.

All the fresh content will be dropped into Rocket League by means of a title update that should start rolling out on December 1. The gear will be made available to you at the end of matches, no matter if you win or lose.

Among the Portal content will be a cake hat, in keeping with Valve’s obsession with hats. You will also be able to turn the rocket trail of your cars into colors that match Portal’s conversion gel (beige), propulsion gel (orange) or repulsion gel (blue).

Lastly, you’ll be able to personalize your Rocket League cars with four new antennas. While one of them will grab an Aperture Laboratories logo, the other one will bear the Companion Cube. A Personality Core will appear on the third one, whereas the fourth one will feature the PotatOS logo.

Rocket League has turned out to be quite a popular game over the months since its arrival. The main credit of this goes to its unique concept of having powerful cars play football matches. Apart from PC, it can also be purchased for the PS4. Single-player as well as multiplayer gameplay has been added to it by its makers.
