LittleBigPlanet Karting Beta Registrations Now Open

Fans of the LBP series can now have themselves signed up for the LittleBigPlanet Karting beta which is set to go live soon. Publisher Sony has revealed that this test phase is being held in order to receive feedback from gamers on the overall experience of the upcoming title.

Those interested can visit the official PlayStation blog to get a link to the registration page of the LittleBigPlanet Karting beta. Following this, they will receive invitations based on SCEA’s discretion. A similar beta was run recently for LittleBigPlanet PS Vita which is set to launch for the handheld later this year complete with touch controls and support for other features that the Vita has on offer. LBP Karting was announced in March 2012 for the PS3 after which it was showcased at this year’s E3.

Jason Coker, Associate Producer, SCEA, wrote on blog, “Greetings Sackfolk! The LittleBigPlanet community is about to get another very special treat! In case the opportunity to participate in the LittleBigPlanet Beta on PS Vita wasn’t amazing enough, many of you will soon have the chance to participate in the LittleBigPlanet Karting Beta on PS3!The goal of the Beta is to get feedback on the overall experience from Sackfolk who understand it like few others – you!”

It will be developed by Mod Nation Racers-creator United Front Games in partnership with LBP series-creator, Media Molecule. Competitive arena battles, split-screen modes, online modes and more will be on offer with the title, while the popular creation tools that have become a staple of this series will also been seen in the game. It will even feature support for the PS Move Racing Wheel which comes out this fall.
