PS Move Racing Wheel Details Out Now

Fresh on the heels of its E3 debut, the PS Move Racing Wheel has been showcased by Sony by means of a video tour of the newest peripheral manufactured for the PS3. It is slated to arrive this fall, but can be pre-ordered now through major retailers at a price of 39.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,230).

This product is claimed by the company to proffer gamers with double the accuracy of a DualShock controller. It has been fitted with a wide comfort grip which will apparently let users precisely tune the angles in order to make use of the extra precision. The peripheral will run on the Move accessory’s batteries, and hence, it will not require any additional power.

“As we mentioned before, the PlayStation Move Racing Wheel will be available this fall for $39.99 and will support upcoming racing games like LittleBigPlanet Karting, in addition to PS3 racing favorites like Gran Turismo 5, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, Burnout Paradise, MotorStorm Apocalypse, and more,” Rey Gutierrez, Senior Social Media Specialist at Sony, mentioned on the official PlayStation blog.

Both sides of the device have been equipped with rumble motors for vibration feedback, and with the Move in place, three rumble motors will be available for developers to exploit. It will also feature paddle shifters for those who prefer manual gear shifting. For bike games, this hardware can be transformed to resemble motorcycle handlebars, with the right grip even bearing a twist throttle.

A definite launch date for the PS Move Racing Wheel is yet to be revealed by Sony. It has however been confirmed for a fall release.
