Capcom’s Dragon’s Dogma now available across US

We recently found out that Capcom’s DmC Devil May Cry was pushed into 2013. Now the Japanese developer and publisher of video games has announced that Dragon’s Dogma has hit retail across North America for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The action RPG is set in a fantasy open world and features skill-based combat, “free exploration” and a unique Pawn system.

The pawn system is an innovative team dynamic which enables AI controlled characters to help the protagonist – known only as the Arisen – along his way. Players, in addition to having complete control over their character’s appearance and abilities, will be able to fully customize a main Pawn companion. There are even two support Pawns which can be swapped out based on the Arisen’s need of the hour. The Pawn system is extensive and players can even rent out their main Pawn to friends over the PSN or Xbox Live.

Capcom also reveals that the game will be massively supported post-launch with a slew of additional game content such as weapon and armor upgrades, as well as further quests. There is a downloadable demo available on the Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Store which includes two encounters. The demo allows players to fully customize their character and main Pawn for export into the full game.
