DmC Devil May Cry Delayed Into 2013

Joining the list of high-profile titles like Tomb Raider, BioShock Infinite and South Park: The Game hopping into an early 2013 release window, DmC Devil May Cry too has been dated for January 15 next year. Along with this declaration, Capcom also revealed that a PC version of the game is currently in the works, and is planned for later in 2013.

No definite reason has been cited by Capcom for this delay, but a post on its official blog has pointed out that in the past, January has proved to be a good month for the developer as some of its hit titles such as RE 4, DmC 3: Special Edition, Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, and RE: Revelations have been released in that month. There is still no word on exactly when Capcom plans to put out the PC version.

A post on the Capcom-Unity blog, reads, “The game is now set to release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on January 15th, 2013 in both North America and Europe. While I wish it was coming out tomorrow, this does contribute further evidence to the theory that January is a great month for Capcom. In the past, January has seen the release of such titles as Resident Evil 4, Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition, Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, and Resident Evil Revelations.”
