When Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 launches on August 21, gamers will have the choice of either picking up its standard copies or special Collector’s and Limited Edition ones. Apart from different packaging, these versions of the title will also feature a host of additional in-game content.
The Collector’s Edition of Sniper: GW 2 will come dressed in a folded box. Inside it will be a steelbook copy of the title. Moreover, it will include a ‘Sniper Tactics and History’ hardback book which has been developed in collaboration with military experts with combat experience. This edition will even kick in an artbook, an official soundtrack CD, DSR-1 and Vintorez in-game sniper rifles for use in multiplayer modes as well as four exclusive multiplayer characters named Diaz, Medox, Marinov and Marine Team Leader.
On the other hand, the Limited Edition will feature O-card packaging and will comprise the Vintorez in-game sniper rifle for use in multiplayer modes. It will also provide gamers with an exclusive multiplayer character in the form of Anderson, who’s also the game’s protagonist. Sniper: GW 2 acts as a successor to the 2010 FPS, Sniper: Ghost Warrior, and features new additions that weren’t a part of the earlier title. It has been powered by Crytek’s CryEngine 3 technology, and features single-player and multiplayer components. It is being developed as well as published by the Polish studio, City Interactive.
Both the Collector’s Edition and the Limited Edition copies of Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 will touch down on August 21, 2012. While the standard version is priced at 49.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,750), pricing for the special editions hasn’t been revealed yet.
