THQ Dates Darksiders II, Delays South Park: The Game Till 2013

Darksiders II was supposed to come out in June, but it was delayed in April and will now be released on August 14, and moreover, THQ has also announced a push in the launch date of South Park: The Game. The company has disclosed that more than 11 million units of Saints Row games have been shipped globally till now, with 4.25 million among them being those of Saints Row: The Third.

During an investor conference call yesterday, THQ’s CEO told Joystiq about the new release date for the next Darksiders game, citing that the delay was a demonstration of the company’s ‘commitment to quality.’ Obsidian’s much awaited RPG, South Park: The Game was scheduled to be outed in 2012, but this game too has been hit with a holdup, thrusting its launch window into the first quarter of 2013.
