God of War Ragnarok Get Promised Photo Mode In Latest Update

God of War Ragnarok

Early last month, God of War Ragnarok hit store shelves and while eager fans were treated to more of what made the original 2018 game such a massive hit, one thing was missing amidst it all. We’re talking, of course, about the Photo Mode that has just been added through the latest update.

Developer Santa Monica Studios had suggested that it was not yet ready at launch but it can now be easily accessed by all players. 2018’s God of War also featured a Photo Mode, which turned out to be a big highlight of the game.

God of War Ragnarok’s Photo Mode includes all the basics that you’d expect from such a feature. It gives you the ability to adjust not just the focus distance and field of view but also lets you change focal length, camera roll, depth of field, and f-stop.

This Photo Mode is even home to filters, vignettes, borders, and logos. You can adjust brightness, exposure, vibrance, and saturation as well.

More importantly, this Photo Mode from God of War Ragnarok allows you to add expressions to the faces of Kratos, Atreus, Freya, Brok, Sindri, Tyr, Angrboda, Thor, and Thrud. You can even hide characters from your scenes.

2018’s God of War was the eighth game from the series chronologically. It was a reboot of sorts as it had the roots of its story set in Norse mythology instead of Greek. For the first time in the series, there were two protagonists, with Kratos being accompanied by his young son, Atreus.

God of War Ragnarok continues that story, includes similar gameplay, and brings new characters into the fray. It can be purchased now for the PS4 and the PS5.
