God of War Ragnarok’s Graphical Options Revealed Ahead Of Release

God of War Ragnarok

November 9 is when God of War Ragnarok will hit the PS4 and PS5 but ahead of that, the game’s graphical options have come to light. Gamers will have the option of choosing from four different options when it comes to the kind of visual experience they demand.

It has been confirmed by these graphical options that God of War Ragnarok indeed supports 120Hz visuals. What this effectively means is that the game has been designed to run with an unlocked framerate that will try to stay above 60fps.

According to Press Start, the four options available for players include one called ‘Favor Resolution,’ which will allow 4K resolution visuals at 30fps and another called ‘Favor Performance,’ which will lock the framerate at 60fps.

Now, the other two modes are brought in by a ‘High Frame Rate On’ option that applies to both the aforementioned modes. On ‘Favor Resolution,’ it will enable 4K-40fps visuals (locked), while on ‘Favor Performance, it will sync with 120Hz.

It’s worth noting that these two complementary modes will only work with TVs supporting the HDMI 2.1 standard. And of course, all these modes apply only to the PS5 version of the game, with the PS4 version expected to have very basic graphical settings.
