Wii Rock Band Music Store gets tracks from Toby Keith, The Shins and Others

Harmonix and MTV games had earlier revealed that the Wii Rock Band Music Store would be slowly getting all the tracks featured on the Rock Band Music Store for the other consoles. The Rock Band Music Store catalog of downloadable content for Wii has already received tracks from Journey and Pat Benatar and also the first album from The Cars. Now MTV Games and Harmonix have announced that twelve new tracks have been released to the RB Music Store for the Wii this week, which include six songs from country rocker Toby Keith.

Toby Keith has taken the music world by storm since his debut in 1993 and now six of his greatest hits have come to the Wii Rock Band Music Store. The tracks include Should’ve Been A Cowboy taken from his 1993 self-titled album, How Do You Like Me Now featured on his 1999 album, Who’s Your Daddy and Beer For My Horses from his 2002 Unleashed album, the track I Love This Bar from 2003 album Shock n’ Y’all and She’s a Hottie taken from Keith’s 2008 album 35 Biggest Hits.

Swedish guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen is also featured on this week’s Wii RB Music Store update with Caprici di Diablo, Damnation Game and Red Devil all taken from his 2008 Perpetual Flame album. Additionally, New Slang from The Shins, Warriors of Time from Black Tide and Waking the Demon by Bullet for My Valentine will also be featured in the update. All tracks are original master recordings.

The tracks were released on April 21, 2009. Individual tracks can be purchased for 2 USD each (approx. Rs. 100 each) from the in-game Rock Band 2 Music Store. For the Xbox 360 and PS3 a total of over 630 songs are available for download and for the Wii, there are over 120 songs on its Rock Band Music Store catalog.
