Last week we reported that SCEE released a free SingStar update for the PAL territories. Now, Sony sends word via the PlayStation Blog, that the company has released a global patch for SingStar fans the world over. The patch adds online features and enhanced gameplay for PS3 SingStar users. Also, Sony announces the release date for SingStar Queen.
The global SingStar patch will provide a voice control menu which players can scroll through without using the PS3 controller. Players can even select the song they want to sing by calling out that song’s name into the microphone. Additionally, the patch provides support for more than 30 trophies, including All Eyes on You, Keep It Cool and Super Singer Gold, a greatly redesigned SingStore and MySingStarOnline, and a quick song purchase function. The patch is compatible with all SingStar discs and is free.
SingStar Queen will be hitting stores on August 14, 2009 as a standalone disc. The game will feature more than 20 hits from the legendary pop-rock band which include We Are The Champions, We Will Rock You, Bohemian Rhapsody, Another One Bites The Dust and Under Pressure. Pricing for SingStar Queen hasn’t been revealed yet.
