Minecraft Streamer Breaks Game By Walking Continuously For 420 Days

Minecraft

A Minecraft streamer who wanted to see what awaits him at the edge of the game’s world decided to walk towards it and continued doing so for 420 days before finally reaching the spot. At the edge of the world, the game started glitching heavily before the character dropped into the abyss.

The streamer named MysticalMidget, had to experience several delays towards the end as he waited to reload chunks in Minecraft. But he finally reached his goal after spending 2500 hours in the game. The Twitch streamer would spend around 10 hours a day walking in a single direction.

The Minecraft world, however vast, does have a limit. It’s well known that the makers have created the world to have 32 million blocks on all four sides. In earlier versions of the game, the end used to be an edge but the newer versions feature actual physical barriers. That’s the reason why MysticalMidget decided to achieve his feat, which you can watch here, in the Minecraft Beta 1.7 version from back in 2017.

That being said, Minecraft is currently in version 1.19 thanks to its latest update titled The Wild. This much-awaited update was released in June this year for both the Java and Bedrock editions of the game. Themed around scary things and the natural wilderness, it introduced the deep dark and mangrove swamps biomes to the game.

While the deep dark biome also brought with it ancient cities and the new Warden mob, the mangrove swamp biome introduced the frog and the tadpole. Fireflies were also supposed to form part of this update but were controversially removed at the last minute.

Minecraft players were also treated to a new Spongebob DLC that came out recently and granted them paid access to plenty of new skins, story-based quests, and more.
