For Minecraft players, immersing themselves in the crazy world of Bikini Bottom is now as simple as downloading the game’s new Spongebob DLC. It’s the latest piece of collaborative content from Mojang Studios and offers fans access to 40 new skins, apart from plenty of other things.
As you journey from living in a simple Minecraft house to the abode that exists under Patrick’s rock, you’ll also have the ability to participate in six quests. The ultimate objective of these quests is to give the habitants of Bikini Bottom the best day ever and this will be done by recreating some of the TV show’s most iconic moments to date.
As the trailer below shows, at least one of the quests takes place at the Krusty Krab where SpongeBob can be seen trying to fend off a massive crowd of nematodes by flinging Krabby Patties at them. There’s even a reference to the one time Spongebob helped Sandy launch a rocket that made him think he has landed on the moon.
Minecraft was recently blessed with its big The Wild update, which pushed plenty of new content into the main game. Among the new additions were two fresh biomes in the form of deep dark and mangrove swamps. While the former generates deep underground areas with low erosion, the latter lets you naturally harvest mangrove trees.
Apart from this, The Wild update also introduces four new mobs. These include the warden, the allay, frogs, and tadpoles. As for the new blocks that get introduced into the game by this update, they are sculk, mangrove wood, and mud.
Coming back to the Spongebob DLC for Minecraft, it can be purchased in exchange for 1340 Mine Coins at the Minecraft Marketplace. As noted by Screen Rant, however, it will only be available until September 27.
