Alan Wake 2 Made Official By Remedy

Alan Wake 2 Alan Wake 2 has officially been confirmed by Remedy Entertainment, as was being predicted all these months. The game is set to hit the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC in 2023. The fact that it’s still that far away from a release should tell you that there’s no lengthy trailer to look at but you do get a short teaser video of the game.

Alan Wake 2 has been described as the studio’s first-ever survival horror game with a “deep psychological layer” at its heart. The first game that started it all was more of an action-based game with horror elements. This title was released again as Alan Wake Remastered in October this year.

Alan Wake was also seen in Remedy Entertainment’s 2019 offering, Control. The game had received great reviews for its action-adventure gameplay that revolved around the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC), a secret government agency in the US that is tasked with containing and studying phenomena that violate the laws of reality.

The original Alan Wake was first released for the Xbox 360 in 2010. Its story followed the titular character, a best-selling thriller novelist trying to uncover the mystery behind his wife’s disappearance during a vacation. At the same time, he is also mysteriously experiencing events from the plot in his latest novel. In 2012, the game made its way to PC and it was only when the remastered version came out this year that PlayStation users got to play the game.

In 2012, Remedy Entertainment released Alan Wake’s American Nightmare, a relatively small spin-off to the original that presented a slightly different experience to fans.

Coming back to Alan Wake 2, its launch is still far away from now so you’re going to have to stay content with the teaser trailer for now.
