Update: Remedy has confirmed Alan Wake Remastered but has only mentioned “fall” as its release window. It will be equipped with 4K visuals and will launch for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The remastered package will also include The Signal and The Writer DLCs.
Original Story: If news of a possible Alan Wake sequel hadn’t gotten you excited enough, a leak regarding a remastered version of the original game definitely should. A listing for it has been spotted on Rakuten Taiwan and it states that the game will arrive as early as October 5.
What’s all the more interesting is that it may also launch on PlayStation consoles for the first time. PC is the only other platform this Xbox 360 has been released for. Following the discovery of this Alan Wake Remastered listing, senior analyst at Niko Partners, Daniel Ahmad said on Twitter that it will be announced officially next week.
Alan Wake Remastered was listed on the website for the PS4, PS5, and the Xbox Series X/S. Murmurs about this remastered version have been around for some time now. Back in June, it was spotted with the Final Fantasy 7 Remake in Epic Games Store updates, suggesting that a PC launch was on the cards at least.

Released in 2010, Alan Wake had impressed mostly with its unique narrative. The psychological thriller put you in the shoes of the eponymous novelist who is trying to recover from a writer’s block when his wife disappears and he suddenly starts experiencing events from the plot in his latest novel, which he cannot remember writing.
Not too long ago, there was news of Alan Wake 2 possibly having gone into full production. This speculation was derived from the fact that Remedy Entertainment’s latest investor report mentioned a “AAA game project with Epic Games” having gone into “full production.” It was known prior to that that the two companies had entered a publishing deal featuring two projects from the same franchise.
