Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate is this year’s AC game set in Victorian London

The next Assassin’s Creed game is going to be fully revealed on May 12 by Ubisoft, but ahead of the official showcase, a leak has given away crucial details about the game. While we had previously heard that it will be sub-titled Victory, it has now come to light that Syndicate will be its new sub-title. However, the setting remains the same – Victorian London. This ninth installment to the main series is supposed to be released during this year’s holiday season, and we’re guessing it will be coming to the PS4, the Xbox One and PC at least. Last year, a separate game for the PS3 and the Xbox 360 was released in the form of AC: Rogue, but no news of a similar approach has come forth this year.

Assassin's Creed: Syndicate

Based on some early marketing materials that have been sent to Polygon, the website has revealed that Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate will tell the story of an assassin named Jacob Frye who is fighting oppression in Victorian London. This is the period during which the important Industrial Revolution took place in England. It has been revealed prior to this that the game will allow players to use a special grappling hook, while it will also feature fights above moving stagecoaches.

Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate is being developed by Ubisoft Quebec, which has so far never handled full responsibility of an AC game. This upcoming game is preceded by AC: Unity which was the first title from the extremely popular series to make its way onto the PS4 and the Xbox One. In order to please fans who don’t own those two machines, Ubisoft also released AC: Rogue last year for previous-gen systems.

Let us now wait until May 12 to get a full look at Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate which is scheduled to be released during this holiday season.
