Next Assassin’s Creed game is set in Victorian London

Assassin’s Creed: Victory will be the name of a new game from the acclaimed series, and it will be set during the Victorian era in London. Meant to arrive for the PS4, Xbox One and PC in fall 2015, this game has been leaked in an extensive manner which has forced Ubisoft to confirm its existence. It is being said that this will be the only AC game next year, as the PS3 and the Xbox 360 will finally be abandoned by the series.

The leak has come via Kotaku which has sourced a seven-minute ‘target gameplay footage’ video that has slipped out of Ubisoft’s offices. The game has apparently been build using the new Anvil engine that was used for Assassin’s Creed: Unity. The screenshots we’ve posted here give us a good idea of what the offering will look like, and how the new London locations have been infused into it. Their legitimacy has been confirmed by Ubisoft to Eurogamer through a statement in which it has called the leak ‘unfortunate.’

The publisher has again mentioned that while this leak has hurt its plans, its focus currently remains set on fixing the problems being faced by Assassin’s Creed: Unity players. Ever since its release, the game has been facing lots of bugs and other issues which eventually led its makers to apologize and offer a free DLC pack as compensation. Moreover, those who have purchased the title’s Season Pass are being given a free game as well.
