Assassin’s Creed: Unity buyers to get free DLC, Season Pass holders to get free game

The launch of Assassin’s Creed: Unity has been nothing short of disastrous for Ubisoft, and the company has been forced to go into apology mode now. It has been revealed that the Dead Kings DLC will be offered for free to all those who’ve purchase the PS4, Xbox One or PC versions of the game. Moreover, Season Pass holders will be blessed with a free download of a full-fledged Ubisoft game of their choice from a pre-selected list of titles.

Assassin's Creed: Unity

Ever since its release on November 11, Assassin’s Creed: Unity has been plagued by technical issues which have shown themselves in the form of countless glitches, with some of them having even been game-breaking. Ubisoft quickly got into action to begin releasing patches for fixing those bugs, and the game finally seems to be coming back to normal. The publishing company’s Montreal and Toronto CEO Yannis Mallat has now apologized to affected gamers through a statement.

He has also said that as an appreciation for the continued support that has been shown by fans of the game, the Dead Kings DLC will be offered to all of them free of cost. Since this content was in a way paid for by Season Pass owners, they will receive a free game as compensation. For this, they will be able to choose between The Crew, Far Cry 4, Watch Dogs, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, Rayman Legends and Just Dance 2015.

Ubisoft has also revealed that it will be discounting the Season Pass for Assassin’s Creed: Unity soon. The game’s third new big-fixing patch was released yesterday, much to the relief of those who’re annoyed by all its bugs.
