Payday 2 has its price slashed, PS4 and Xbox One versions get their release date

Payday 2 and all its DLC packs have just been blessed with a big price cut by its makers. The new and reduced costs are already active on Steam for PC. It’s not clear whether the fresh values will be applied to the PS3 and the Xbox 360 versions of the game or not, but there’s no reason for publisher 505 Games to prevent that from happening. In related news, the title’s PS4 and Xbox One versions which will be sold in the form of the Crimewave Edition have received a release date finally. They will be out for the next-gen consoles on June 12 in Europe and on June 16 in North America.

Payday 2

Payday 2 used to retail at 29.99 USD (approx. Rs 1900), bit it will now be offered at 19.99 USD (approx. Rs 1250), as revealed by GameSpot. The Game of the Year Edition of this title was purchasable at 79.99 USD (approx. Rs 5100), but it will now be made available at 49.99 USD (approx. Rs 3200). While a number of this first-person shooter’s DLC packs are doled out for free, there are several paid ones as well, and even they have been brought under the price cut umbrella by its makers.

Payday 2 was released back in 2013 as a sequel to Payday: The Heist which had gathered quite some popularity. Just like its predecessor, it focuses on letting you plan and execute high-profile heists. It can be played in a single-player mode, but it’s more fun when it’s being played cooperatively.

Payday 2 can be grabbed now for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, while its PS4 and Xbox One versions are slated to be released next month.
