Dead Island Game of the Year Edition Releasing Next Month

After having snapped up sales that amount to 3 million, Techland’s zombie-slaying action game has been packed as the Dead Island Game of the Year Edition which is set to hit markets in June. Along with the original title, the GotY version comes equipped with a total of three DLCs launched post its September release last year. These include the Ryder White story content, the Bloodbath Arena mode and a weapon blueprint for The Ripper.

Dead Island GotY Edition

The Ryder White DLC is basically a storyline that allows gamers to play out the title’s events from an alternate perspective, that of the main antagonist – Ryder White. This will provide them with some more insight into his activities and motivations. The DLC shows Ryder White as a military man and a loving husband, and turns him into a playable character, offering several hours of story content to play in the game’s campaign. Two blueprints and weapons will also form part of the DLC.

The Bloodbath Arena mode had arrived for the game in November last year. It brought with it four different arenas that feature new challenges to be played either alone or with friends using the title’s co-op mechanics. It is basically a survival mode wherein gamers must endure wave after wave of zombie attacks. In Bloodbath Arena, characters will be able to loot experience points and items, in order to bring them over to the campaign mode. The DLC even comprises leaderboard support for players to flaunt their scores online.
