The game has been marred by several issues ever since it was released for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC last week. The Steam version of Dead Island was supposedly a development build which faced various problems. Subsequently, a patch was launched to counter this issue. But with it, came an announcement from the developer which warned players that installing the patch may wipe their saved games.

Dead Island is a first person horror action-adventure title that is centered on the challenge of survival on a zombie-infested island. The story takes place in Royal Palms Resort in Banoi which is mysteriously hit by a zombie epidemic. Gamers don the roles of four survivors who are faced with the only option of enduring this menace.

The Bloodbath Arena pack for Dead Island is expected to be made available later this month by developer Techland.
