The biggest and deepest content offering in CoD’s history is what the new Modern Warfare 3 Collection Content #1 which was released through Xbox Live yesterday is being hailed as. This new set of DLCs features two Special Ops missions apart from four multiplayer maps, all of which have earlier been launched exclusively for Elite Premium members.
This content however, is for those who haven’t purchased this subscription. The two intense Special Ops missions are named Black Ice and Negotiator, while the four maps are Liberation, Piazza, Overwatch and Black Box. Collection #1 will be available exclusively on Xbox Live for now, but it will be released for other platforms later on.
Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing, commented, “Call of Duty MW3 Content Collection #1 is the biggest DLC pack ever for Call of Duty. We’re serious about delivering the best value to our fans and just as we promised last year, it’s not just maps anymore. With six pieces of playable content, that’s more content and bigger variety than we’ve ever been able to include before in a Call of Duty DLC for the same price.”
The Black Ice mission takes place in a frozen diamond mine, while Negotiator transpires in India. The Liberation map depicts New York’s Central Park and Piazza is set in Italy. The other two maps – Overwatch and Black Box, take place on an under-construction skyscraper and in a South California neighborhood, respectively.
The Modern Warfare 3 Content Collection #1 can be purchased now for the Xbox 360 through Xbox Live in exchange of 1,200 Microsoft Points.
