The first Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Content Collection is all set to hit the Xbox Live on March 20, 2012. As publisher Activision suggests, this forthcoming offering is the first slew out of four Content Collections which are slated to unveil across the gaming terrain for COD: MW3 owners. On purchase of the DLC, they can expect to be flooded with a variety of action-packed inclusions.
There are four new multiplayer maps to take advantage of, namely Black Box, Piazza, Overwatch and Liberation. Players will also be able to get their hands on two new Special Ops Missions, which are termed as Black Ice and Negotiator. The former of the lot, Black Box, transports gamers to Southern California where they must enter into battle alongside the wreckage of an Air Force One plane that is flanked by multi-level houses.
Next up is the Black Ice Spec Ops mission where players are tasked with planting deadly explosives in a diamond mine with an aim to completely destroy it. For successfully finishing their quest, they can take advantage of a snowmobile to navigate through the winding paths of the level. In Negotiator, action fans must travel to India where a high-stakes hostage extraction is about to take place. They will need to breach-and-clear rooms as well as swirl through the surface streets and lanes. The mission here is to do whatever it takes to keep their VIPs out of harm’s way.
Besides the COD: MW3 Content Collection 1, Call of Duty Elite Premium members on Xbox Live can also avail of the Call of Duty Elite Content Drops 4, 5 and 6. This particular pack which includes the likes of Negotiator, Black Ice and Black Box, will be available to the aforementioned premium members on March 13, 2012.
Although the Xbox Live dates for the first COD: Modern Warfare 3 Content Collection and Call of Duty Elite Content Drops 4-6 were revealed, the company hasn’t yet disclosed the exact unveiling for other platforms. All it states is that ardent players can expect the duo to arrive ‘at a later date.’
