The Walking Dead to be Released by Telltale Games This April

The first trailer for the new video game titled The Walking Dead, has been launched along with information related to its pricing and availability. Based on a popular comic book which also has a TV series going along with it, this offering will be outed in an periodic manner, with five monthly episodes set to begin coming out this April.

The Walking Dead is set in the world of Robert Kirkman’s comic book series, and has Lee Everett, a convicted criminal being given a chance of redemption in a world devastated by the undead. Gamers will get to experience a number of distinct events, meet people and visit new locations, wherein their actions, choices and decisions will ultimately affect how the story plays out across the entire series.

“This trailer really shows off how our artists have managed to take the 2D art style of the comic books and create a 3D world allowing fans to truly interact with Robert Kirkman’s world for the very first time. We hope that fans will like what they see and be excited by the chance to join the cast of the game; we promise they’ll die horribly!” explained Dan Connors, Telltale co-founder and CEO.

Pre-order incentives for the title have also been revealed by Telltale Games. Those who reserve their PC or Mac copies through the developer’s online store, will get a chance to have themselves modeled as a human survivor in episode four. Moreover, pre-ordering gamers will even be able to avail of a 10% discount on the entire set of episodes.

The first episode of The Walking Dead will be released during late April. It will be priced on PSN at 4.99 USD (approx. Rs. 250), while its Xbox Live version will sell at 400 Microsoft Points. For PC and Mac users, a season pass will be purchasable at 24.99 USD (approx. Rs. 1,260) from the Telltale Online Store and other digital outlets.
