Last week saw the game’s demo being doled out through PSN, and now it has come to light that the full version of Mass Effect 3 will also be delivered through the service as a downloadable title on launch day. Scheduled to be outed on March 6, this offering is currently available for pre-order on PSN with a number of exclusive bonuses.
According to a post on the official PlayStation blog, those who reserve the digital versions of the RPG will be rewarded with an in-game M55 Argus rifle. This high-powered weapon is said to be an accurate choice for close-range combat. Due to its bursts of fire, the ammunition is conserved during lengthy battles. Along with this, pre-ordering gamers will also receive a special Mass Effect 3 PS3 theme which won’t be made available to anyone else.
“It’s been one week since our Mass Effect 3 demo became available and everyone at BioWare is incredibly pleased with the response. If you haven’t already checked out our single-player and multiplayer demos (the latter is completely spoiler free and a bit addicting!), I suggest you try them to see what all the fuss is about. Our development team worked hard to ensure that Mass Effect 3 is available at the same time for PS3 as it is for other platforms, a development milestone we’re happy to celebrate with the PlayStation community!” Jessica Merizan, BioWare Community and Social Media Manager, expressed on the blog.
The game is planned to be outed for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC next month. Its retail versions are also being dished out with various pre-order bonuses. Developed by BioWare, the title includes a single-player campaign as well as competitive and cooperative multiplayer components.
Mass Effect 3 can be pre-ordered now through PSN. Pricing details for this digital version have not been revealed by EA yet.
