PS Store Update Brings PS Vita Games and More

This week’s PS Store update might be focused on the PS Vita, but there’s something in it for PS3 owners as well. They can enjoy the Mass Effect 3 demo which is now available for download at no cost. Moreover, PS Plus subscribers can treat themselves to free downloads of Far Cry 2 (available only for this week) and other new PSN games, while availing discounts on The House of the Dead III, Worm Ultimate Mayhem and the Grand Theft Auto IV.

Super Stardust Delta

Let us start with the numerous PS Vita offerings that are lined up for all those who have got their hands on the First Edition bundles. While Super Stardust Delta is the only Vita title to be priced at 9.99 USD (approx. Rs. 495), others like Escape Plan and Super Stardust Delta Interstellar Bundle go for 14.99 USD (approx. Rs. 740). And then there are games such as Rayman Origins, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Blazblue: Continuum Shift Extend, F1 2011, EA Sports FIFA Soccer, Virtua Tennis 4: World Tour Edition and Dungeon Hunter: Alliance that are priced anywhere between 30 USD (approx. Rs. 1,480) to 40 USD (approx. Rs. 1,975). But the exception among the lot definitely is Uncharted: Golden Abyss, which sells for a hefty 44.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,470).

For PS3 gamers, The House Of The Dead III as well as Worms Ultimate Mayhem have been released with this week’s PS Store update, and are available for purchase at 6.99 USD (approx. Rs. 345) and 14.99 USD (approx. Rs. 740), respectively. Moreover, Grand Theft Auto IV too makes it to PSN as a PS3 Full Game, and retails at 19.99 USD (approx. Rs. 990). For PS Plus members, a full game trial for this title is also available, along with a discount on its original price. As part of a V-Day Special One Week Offer, PS Plus subscribers can download Far Cry 2 for free. Other titles like Battle Fantasia, Fatal Inertia, Inferno Pool and more can also be acquired by them at no cost.

Along with Mass Effect 3, Binary Domain also gets a demo this week, with both of them being downloadable now for the PS3. Scheduled DLCs for Soulcalibur V and UFC Undisputed 3 also make their way into the Store, along with add-ons for other games such as Zen Pinball, TNT Racers, Saints Row: The Third, Ace Combat Assault Horizon and more. Furthermore, there’s something for PSP users as well. Hakuoki: Demon of The Fleeting Blossom is now available on PSN for the handheld at a price of 24.99 USD (approx. Rs. 1,235).

That was the PS Store update for this week. While this one had quite a number of new PS Vita games crammed into it, we’re sure that the one from next week will have more such titles as February 22 will mark the official release date of the handheld.
