As one of this year’s biggest titles, Mass Effect 3 gears up for its much anticipated release, the folks over at EA have thrown some light on the pre-order bonuses that will be doled out along with the game. Each pre-ordered game will come bundled with an in-game M55 Argus Assault Rifle, whereas other bonuses vary with retailers.

Said to be destructive at any range, the M55 Argus shoots quick burst-fire. This apparently helps gamers to preserve their ammo, while also achieving enhanced accuracy on the battlefield. Those who pre-order the game’s PC version at EA’s Origin will receive the AT-12 Raider Shotgun, alongside the M55 Argus Assault Rifle.

The AT-12 Raider is supposedly ideal for close-range combat as it fires a large pellet spread, causing considerable damage to the enemies. Claimed to have been designed for superior rapid fire, this weapon also makes for a fast recovery time between shots.

Furthermore, gamers who reserve their copies via GameStop or EB Games will be entitled to some N7 Warfare Gear instead of the AT-12 Raider Shotgun. This gear includes an N7 Valkyrie Assault Rifle and N7 Defender Armor. The latter is a suit that is capable of incorporating extra items like thermal clips, additional punch for weapons and more.
