Although we’re yet to get a glimpse of what the God of War: Ascension collector’s edition actually looks like, an Amazon listing has disclosed the contents of this special pack which is up for pre-order now in North America. Priced at 79.99 USD (approx. Rs. 4,480), this pack will feature a number of in-game as well as real-world items designed on the lines of the popular franchise.
Joystiq has spotted the listing of the collector’s edition on the official Amazon website, which reveals that an 8-inch Kratos statue will be offered with it. Moreover, a premium steelbook case will also be bundled in this pack alongside a digital version of the official game soundtrack. Being a PS3-exclusive game, the GoW: Ascension collector’s edition will even be doled out with a PS3 Dynamic Theme and a PSN avatar pack.
And then there’s also a multiplayer double XP unlock that will form a part of this pack. The final addition that makes its way into the bundle is a pass for future DLC content. This game was first announced in April this year as a prequel to the earlier titles, after details of its existence had leaked out over the Internet. At the end of that month, Sony had divulged that it will be the first title in the God of War series to kick in multiplayer features.
The God of War: Ascension collector’s edition can be pre-ordered by North American gamers at a price of 79.99 USD (approx. Rs. 4,480). It will be released for the PS3 in March next year.
