The expansion clubs real-time strategy with depth. Players control the space-faring civilization with an aim to fight for survival in the interstellar war. They will do so by colonizing planets, fighting pirates, conducting trade, researching new advancements and battling massive fleets.

“What I think has made Sins of a Solar Empire such a phenomenon is that it demonstrated that you can have a real-time strategy game that rewards victory to the player who has built the better civilization, rather than the player with the best reflexes,” remarked Brad Wardell, president & CEO of Stardock Entertainment.

The Rebellion expansion plots the endless clash that has resulted in internal strife amid the Trader Emergency Coalition, the Advent Unity and the Vasari Empire. Gamers can decide their stand as loyalist or rebel faction of the three races.

“Each faction gets their own Titan,” added Wardell. “Seeing one of these behemoths enter a system can be pretty awe-inspiring. It’s a real game changer in the middle of a big multiplayer battle when someone manages to get their Titan into the fray.”

The Rebellion also introduces the ‘Titan’ class warships. These vessels can destroy the entire star system. On comparing it with the new corvettes and capital ships, the titan offers a range of tactical options for gamers. The enhanced game engine lays claim to delivering ‘state of the art’ graphics and ‘breathtaking’ visuals.
