Through a post on the official PlayStation blog, Zen Studios has announced that Zen Pinball 2 is all geared up to hit PSN for the PS3 as well as the PS Vita this spring. Those who already possess the original game or Marvel Pinball and any of the DLCs for these titles on their systems will be able to acquire the new offering as a free download.
For these players, all their tables remain intact and moreover, their games will be infused with updated ball physics and graphics, new trophies and a deeper social experience including in game notifications, friend challenges and Facebook integration for posting scores on the SNS. And for those who don’t own the previous titles, Zen Pinball 2 will be available in the form of a free platform download which will comprise trials for every table. In order for gamers to be able to play the entire tables, they will be required to purchase them through PSN.
Zsolt Kigyossy, Managing Director, Zen Studios, stated on the blog, “We have been listening to all of your feedback and have included many, many of your ideas into what is our most advanced and sophisticated pinball platform yet! There has been strong focus on keeping the community together, bringing all of your pinball tables under one roof, and then connecting the games across PS3 and Vita. If you are a pinball fan, this will be the ultimate pinball experience on PlayStation!”
This title will also be compatible with stereoscopic 3D screens. In addition, cross platform play will also be accessible for PlayStation systems. This means that all the content that gamers purchase through PSN on either the PS3 or the PS Vita will be available to play on both the devices at no extra charge.
Zen Pinball 2 is expected to hit PSN in May this year. As we mentioned up there, it will be available as a free platform download, with full tables being charged between 2.49 USD (approx. Rs. 130) to 2.99 USD (approx. Rs. 150).
