First DLC for Marvel Pinball to Feature Fantastic Four

Marvel Pinball is Zen Studios’ arcade video game for the Xbox 360 and PS3. Released last year on the aforesaid systems through the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network, the title unfolds conventional pinball gameplay in a virtual environment. It has been revealed that the game will soon get new Fantastic Four DLC to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the superhero comic series.

The new add-on will bring the leading characters of the series including Mister Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, the Thing and the Human Torch on board. It has also been crafted to infuse interactive 3D models, multiple superhero gameplay layers and online multiplayer contests into the game. Allowing gamers to earn new Achievements and Trophies, it comes equipped with operators menu and rule sheet.

In the title, players will need to navigate the ball up the torch ramp while unraveling a set of Invisible flippers. Pitted against the might of Doctor Doom, the Super-Skrull and the Galactus, they can employ powers at their disposal to defend the planet from destruction by playing the game right. Apart from these characters, the add-on also boasts of the Mole Man and H.E.R.B.I.E. the robot.

This DLC is said to have been incorporated with support for several social features into the Pinball FX2 and Marvel Pinball platforms on the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network, respectively. It has been slated to reach the PlayStation Network across North America on May 17, 2011 while the European PSN and Pinball FX2 for the Xbox Live Arcade will extend the DLC starting May 18, 2011.
