Borderlands 2 Mechromancer Class Explained

On the closing day of the PAX East event in the US, Gearbox Software revealed details regarding a new Mechromancer class which will form a part of its much anticipated Borderlands 2. It has also been disclosed that this character will be doled out in the form of a DLC, which will be made available for free to all those who decide to pre-order their copies of the game prior to its September release date.

According to Game Informer, the Mechromancer is a female class which can be called a human and a machine. It is capable of controlling a huge robot named D374-TP (Deathtrap). Instead of a stock collection of gear and costumes, this class will feature unlockable attire which will need to be earned by completing missions and challenges or by ranking up. And those who have managed to keep their Borderlands saved files on their systems will instantly be rewarded with an exclusive head and skin for this class.

For those who don’t pre-order the game, the Mechromancer character will be dished out as add-on content. The pricing for the same is yet to be fixed, but the CEO of Gearbox, Randy Pitchford, has mentioned that it will be priced at a level from where it will be ‘comparable to most DLC.’ At the event, a special edition of the game was also unveiled. A Marcus bobblehead and a loot box in which the game is packaged are the only two items confirmed to form part of this edition.

Borderlands 2 Mechromancer Class 2

Borderlands 2 will be released for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC on September 18, 2012. It has been revealed by Pitchford on his official Twitter page, that the Mechromancer class DLC will be ready for release in about thirty to ninety days post launch.
