Mass Effect: Andromeda has been delayed into 2017

Adding to the list of games that are getting delayed lately is Mass Effect: Andromeda from BioWare which is now slated for an ‘early 2017’ launch. Although the developers haven’t admitted it, the delay could very well be the result of a number of high profle staff members having exited the company recently.

In a blog post, Aaryn Flynn, the general manager of BioWare has said that playing the unfinished Mass Effect: Andromeda has made them realise that they are headed in the right direction. He has further mentioned that they wish to take the right amount of time needed to deliver ‘everything the game can be and should be,’ and hence the delay.

Although Mass Effect: Andromeda will be released in early 2017, a new trailer of it will indeed be showcased at this year’s E3. Let’s hope there’s some gameplay footage to look forward to in this one.

ME: Andromeda

Like its name suggests, this game will be set in the Andromeda galaxy rather than the Milky Way. This will allow the developers to introduce new allies and enemies as well as fresh worlds with their own settings.

While the story is not known at the moment, we do know that it takes place long after the events portrayed in previous entry to the series. This title will be released for the PS4, the Xbox One and PC, and will be built using the Frostbite 3 engine rather than the Unreal Engine 3 used by the previous game.

We will have more on Mass Effect: Andromeda as soon as additional details about this upcoming action role-playing game are out into the open.
