The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will get a day one patch to improve its framerate

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is finally ready to be launched on May 19, and its makers have revealed that it will be blessed with a framerate fixing update on the said date. Several early reviews of the game have pointed out that it suffers from random framerate drops, which is probably what has forced the developers to speak about this update so early. It will be delivered to all three platforms, and will also contain overall performance improvements for the game.

Marcin Momot, who happens to be the community and website coordinator at CD Projekt RED was asked on Twitter by a fan about the framerate issue. He mentioned that reviews of both Kotaku and IGN have cited that the PS4 version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt suffers from framerate problems, and asked Momot about any chance of day-one improvements. Momor was quick to reply in the positive and revealed that a day one patch will indeed be issued for the game upon release.

Upon being contacted by GameSpot, the developers of this title also said that the patch will offer ‘overall performance improvements’ that include fixes for texture pop-in issues. As its name suggests, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the third main entry to the extremely popular action-RPG series. It will again put you in the shoes of Geralt of Rivia who discovers that it’s only him who could stop a cataclysmic rampage that’s engulfing the entire kingdom. Apart from the Witcher himself, the game will also allow you to play as a new character named Ciri.
