Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate officially revealed along with release date

With leaks having given away the existence of Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate already, today’s official reveal of the game didn’t turn out to be as exciting an event as Ubisoft would’ve hoped it to be. But there are some really interesting things regarding the game for you to have a gander at, with its first gameplay footage being one of them. This title will be released for the PS4 and the Xbox One on October 23, while a PC version of it will be outed on a later date. There’s no word on any PS3 or Xbox 360 offering right now.

Assassin's Creed: Syndicate

As we know, Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate will be set in Victorian London and will take place in the year 1868. It will feature two protagonists namely, Jacob Frye and Evie Frye, who happen to be twins. A new gameplay addition is a rope launcher which works like Batman’s grapple hook to allow you to climb buildings quickly and also to create ropeways for sliding from one building to another. For the first time in an AC game, players will be able to cause environmental damage to enemies.

Horse-drawn carriages which were a main component of the Victorian era have been incorporated into the gameplay of Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate as well. Players will be able to hijack these carriages in GTA-style in order to travel to different places and even trample their enemies. They’ll of course provide a new place to hide during stealth missions as well. No co-op or multiplayer support forms part of this new game surprisingly. Lastly, it has been revealed that the world of this game will be 30 percent larger than the map of Paris in AC: Unity.
