Arma 3 beta now available to be jumped into

The Arma 3 beta has now gone official, with Bohemia Interactive having announced that it can be downloaded through Steam and the company’s official store. It needs to be purchased, but interested gamers can take note of the fact that all those who buy this version will get to acquire the full game without any additional payment when it will be released sometime later this year.

Same was the case for the title’s alpha version which has been available for quite some time now. Those who had bought this alpha release will be getting to download the beta for free in the form of an automatic update on Steam. The Arma 3 beta builds upon the content from the alpha edition by combining it with the 20 sq. km island of Stratis. And that’s not all; 20 weapons, 18 vehicles, 3 factions, 8 showcase missions, 4 multiplayer scenarios, 4 challenges, a scenario editor as well as modding support will be added to the game as well.

This latter title is also known to be the host game for the extremely popular DayZ mod which is being turned into a standalone title right now.
