Battlefield 4 PC requirements disclosed by DICE

We now have a complete list of minimum as well as recommended PC requirements needed to run the upcoming Battlefield 4. Just like its predecessor, this one too does not feature support for Windows XP, but the surprise element here is that Windows 8 has been revealed to be a recommended specification. Other than that, there are no big surprises, yet gamers wishing to buy the title for PC when it comes out later this year should keep at least 30GB worth of free storage space on their machines in order to occupy the game files.

The minimum Battlefield 4 PC requirements ask for the OS to be Windows Vista (32-bit), while as mentioned above, the recommended software is Windows 8. The game will be able to survive on dual core AMD or Intel processors, but DICE suggests you go for a six-core AMD or a quad core Intel processor in order to best experience the first-person shooter. While 4GB worth of RAM will suffice, the recommended memory has been revealed to be 8GB.

The minimum GPU requirement is a 512MB GeForce 8800 GT or Radeon HD 3870 graphics card. On the other hand, DICE advocates that the GeForce GTX 660 and the Radeon HD 7870 graphics cards should grant you full support to handle the game‘s visuals. Apart from PC, Battlefield 4 is slated to be released for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and the Xbox One as well.

For current-gen consoles and PC, it will be launched on October 29, while the PS4 and Xbox One will get it on their respective release dates.
