Assassin’s Creed 3 PC Delay Confirmed

Ubisoft has gone on to corroborate the recent rumors about a delay in the release of the PC version of Assassin’s Creed by announcing that the title will be out on the said platform on November 23, 2012 – just less than a month later than its console brethren. One would be least surprised with the news considering the fact that this trend of sending the console brigade out first and bringing out the PC versions later has been observed with every AC game till date.

Assassin’s Creed 3

And just like with all those games, no particular reason has been cited by the publisher for this delay. It will be launched for the PS3 and Xbox 360 on October 30, while the standalone PS Vita game titled Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation too will be coming out on the same date. All these versions are now available for pre-order through various retailers. A number of special editions can also be reserved by gamers for added bonuses.

This fresh iteration to the immensely successful Assassin’s Creed series transpires in a completely new setting of the American Revolution in the late 18th century. Its new protagonist is named Ratohnhaké:ton, who’s a Native American with English heritage. A huge number of fresh combat elements have been added to its gameplay, while the parkour aspect of the series has also been refreshed, with players now having the ability to climb trees as well.

Those wishing to play Assassin’s Creed 3 on PC will have to wait until November 23, while PS3 and Xbox 360 owners will be able to jump into the action on October 30. Make sure to check out its newest trailer which showcases the capabilities of the AnvilNext engine.
